This early original poster by Dick Bruna promoted Citizins day on May 5 1959 in Utrecht. It depicts a man and woman holding a small poster with the Utrecht logo and the text "burgerrecht" (citizen rights) and "burgerplicht" (civic duties). They are dressed in the Dutch national colors. The poster is printed by lithograph firm "De Jong" in Hilversum (text at the bottom). The signature 'Dick" is in blue press at the bottom right in the black middle of the poster. This poster is a scarce example of an early design of Dick Bruna.
